Flower arrangements to last you a lifetime
Posted Sunday, January 29, 2006 3:28:16 PM by Kate Grant

I love flowers. wild flower, fresh flowers, roses, lilies, carnations, anything and everything. But fresh cut flowers tend to lose their vitality after a few short days. So if you want flowers to last a little longer, an easy and convenient way is to send or buy a flower arrangement.

Flower arrangementA flower arrangement will take any shape or form you'll want it to take, and they are quite easy to make. There are many flower arrangement ideas: for example, if you want to make a fall flower arrangement, why don't you use orange flowers of your choice, than add some dry leaves, acorns, sprigs, etc.?

An artificial or silk flowers are so well made today, and have such high quality, it's easy to mistake them for real flowers. These flowers will last almost forever, making it easier on hotel florists, who can now use them in lobbies, for those large flower arrangements.

In the last few years, the art of Japaneses flower arranging, also known as Ikebana, has made quite a name for itself and have many dedicated fans, who participate in special courses where they learn how to master this art.

You'll find that flower arrangements go hand in hand with all aspects of life. From wedding flower arrangements to funeral flower arrangements, they're always there, to make the journey, happy or sad, more beautiful.

For Anson Hyde, its like giving home in a box. Or a basket, depending. A gift of lovingly baked breads and cakes is an instant feel-good present. It just takes you back, said Hyde, general manager of The Bread Basket, a Web-based bakery gift shop located in Signal Knob, Tenn. Food gifts are something everyone loves, both to give and receive. At The Bread Basket, the sampler box is the most popular item, offering a carbolicious array of bread loaves, muffins and cakes. For the present that lasts year-round, the company offers three plans the Cakes Galore plan, the Bountiful Breads plan and the Bread and Cakes plan. A cake or bread gift is shipped to the recipient four times a year. Its the gift that keeps on giving, if you will, Hyde said. A fresh alternative to the traditional fruit- or cheese-filled basket, bread baskets are one of many options holiday shoppers have to leave wonderfully delicious edible gifts under the tree this season....
